Did someone say “Spiderman Across the Spider-verse” is the fifth highest rated film of all time? Yup, that’s right.
“Across the Spider-verse” was the refresher Marvel needed and finally got. One of our favorite Spider - men returns to the screens, bringing along some new friends (and enemies…) In Miles' new adventure, he meets many different faces while traveling across the multiverse including Hobie (played by Daniel Kaluuya) Pavitr Prabhakar, (played by Karan Soni) the not so friendly Muiguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac) and the newest villain, the Spot (Jason Schwartzman).
It’s an amazing experience to see Miles' character grow and mature through these films alongside his relationship with Gwen Stacy. He finally decides to write his own story rather than letting others write it for him. It’s very inspiring for all us Spider-Man fans. He not only grows as a person but as the hero we all love. He does this by fighting his newest and possibly most dangerous enemy the Spot.
The spot starts out as a funny looking character who brought viewers comic relief; but as the story progresses, we see his hate for Spider-Man turn him into this life threatening villain who finally catches Miles' attention.
Miles does his best to fight off The Spot and save countless lives alongside his friends. Never forgetting to “take care of that little boy inside of him, to make sure he never forgets where he came from”.
If the storyline isn't enough to convince you to watch, the graphics sure will. How each character is created and portrayed on screen is such a unique experience in the world of cartoons. I've never seen anything like it. There’s so much work put into these films and it’s so exciting to see the comics we read as kids come to life on screens. I think we can all agree that “Spider - Man Beyond the Spider-verse” is gonna be worth the wait.
