Enola Holmes 1&2

Millie Bobby Brown does it again, bringing to light another form of the mysteries we love. The name Holmes means so much more, adding a second detective to the talented family.

Enola Holmes is a twisting and exciting tale following the “Enola Holmes” book series. It starts off with a young girl. On her 16th birthday, her mother goes missing but she is left clues to find her. With her brothers, Sherlock (Henry Cavill) and Mycroft (Sam Claflin) hanging over her head and forcing her to go to finishing school, she has no other choice but to run away and decide her own future.

She meets many friends along the way including the Viscount Tewksbury (Louis Partridge). Dealing with his own problems Tewksbury and Enola make a special connection and end up going on this life changing adventure together.

Two years after the first film ( November 4, 2022) director Harry Bradbeer created Enola Holmes 2 alongside Brown, who took on the role of producer. History has taught us that most sequels aren’t as great or exciting as the first. That’s far from the truth when it comes to this film series. The work that Harry and Brown put into this film is just remarkable and inspiring when showing a young woman trying her best to save the world.

The pictures and evidence shown throughout the film is well thought through and keeps you guessing. "What will come next?"

“Enola Holmes 2” shows Enola facing a new mystery of a missing girl and a run down match factory that suddenly starts making many profits. Based on true events, it tells of the troubles that girls and women went through back in the day, the rights they were fighting for and what they were put through.

When looking into the background of these films, the casting choices were the smartest decisions. Millie and Louis make such a wonderful team on set and seem to share onscreen chemistry. Henry Cavill, another talented actor who plays Sherlock, shows us the beloved character we all love and know.

Reviews are skyrocketing and reveal that many viewers were pleased with this film. Rotten Tomatoes shows that both movies got a 91-92 % rating and is the #1 movie in 78 countries.

This is one of my favorite film series. I enjoyed the action, the mystery, and the characters involved.

Just always remeber, “Our future is up to us.”
